BEYONCE COVERS ESSENCE

Queen B II is ready to regain her throne of world domination. She has a hubby, a new album, and 2 new movies “Obsessed” and “Cadillac Records.” The singer says her new album, coming in November, is her most personal to date. In the new essence she says about Jay Z:
“…What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real.”

[ON MAMA]
......My mom's never asked me for anything. My mom doesn't want anything from me but for me to be happy. And for me to succeed and be as good, as strong, as happy as I can be. So, knowing that, I'm just lucky to have that honesty in my life.

.......I always felt safe and I always felt secure because I knew that it was going to be okay. I knew it was 'cause my mom knew it was. She always let me know that regardless of this group, regardless of me singing, regardless of the movies, whatever, she loved me. And I'm young and I'm smart and everything I've ever wanted to do, I made it happen. So it goes beyond that, like I still have somewhere to go. I still have something else to do, this isn't the end of the world. And I think ... just knowing that, like right now if I never sell another record, it puts a whole 'nother perspective on this.

[ON HOW SHE WANTS TO BE REMEMBERED]
I don't want to be remembered as a member of this huge group that, you know, did whatever. I want to be acknowledged as a woman in a very talented group with great harmonies and great songs that made history and changed the culture of women, not only in America but all over the world. (A woman) who could sing a cappella and write her own songs and produce her own songs.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Last week there were rumors that Johnny Wright would meet with the Lohans to manage lil sis Ali Lohan. Wright, who was a former manager of Britney spears (pre depression) and currently manages Justin Timberlake, Jonas Brothers, Janet Jackson and Ciara - issued a response to the rumors:

"Johnny Wright has never met with Ali Lohan, has never been introduced to Ali Lohan, nor has he had a meeting with Ali or Dina Lohan regarding Ali's music career. While he wishes Ali Lohan the best in all her endeavors, Mr. Wright has never had any intention of speaking with Ali Lohan regarding her career. Any story that has surfaced about such a meeting holds no merit and is completely false."

MADONNA's 2008 tour has already raked in more than $120 million (GBP65 million). The 50-year-old singer's Sticky + Sweet tour has only taken in Europe so far, but 16 of her 17 concerts have been sell-outs - and she will kick off the North America leg on 4 October (08)
Johnny Jackson, better-known in the music industry and in hip hop circles as Johnny "J", a multi-platinum songwriter, music producer & former rapper, committed suicide in the LA County jail Oct. 3rd.
Ciara is one of the women in entertainment to be honored by Billboard in it's yearly "women of the year" ceremony on October 24th in NYC. Previous inductees include Reba McEntire, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Madonna, Debra Lee and Mariah Carey, amoung others.

The list is decided based on the success each executive has achieved, their power status within their organization and track record of producing forward thinking initiatives. The women being honored include music television executives, label heads and other women who have proven to be innovators in the industry.

The executive/singer/songwriter/producer/model/actress is the president of C-Era production group and UDA dance studio based in Atlanta.

Ciara's first single "Go Girl" for her 3rd album of which she gets executive producer credit comes out on it's official release date October 7th along with a new video.

Riahanna is set to tour in Australia with Chris Brown soon. She will also do a video for her song with TI later this month.

Ribot is also working on her 4th full album. Rihanna stated that the album will head in a more Techno Rock direction saying, “I want this album to head in the same direction as Good Girl Gone Bad but with even more edge. The tracks will be less R&B influenced and will have a feel closer to that of, "Disturbia", "Shut Up & Drive" and "Breakin’ Dishes".

Rihanna also stated that she will be writing 3 tracks of the album herself and that they are quite different from her previous work and that one of the tracks will fit into the punk-rock category. She is also studying for a new and more even hot look. A release date for the album has not yet been announced, but it’s probably that it will came out in early 2009(March/April period).

Taking the stage at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, Beyonce Knowles was the center of attention at the 2008 Diamond Ball And Private Concert last night (October 4). The “Irreplaceable” singer was the guest of honor at the glitzy gala which hoped to raise as much money as possible for the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Queen Bey is set to release 2 singles for her upcoming album. I heard one of them called "If I Were A Boy." It's not an uptempo. Her sound looks to be less rnb and more soft rock. The guy who did "Big Girls Don't Cry" for Fergie did it and it's in that same vein. I'll have to see the video along with it to totally judge. Hopefully the other single is uptempo. Clearly she is not doing the urban thing this time around.
