RIHANNA BREAKS RECORDS...remains the hottest chick in the game while doing so
Rihanna managed to release 8 singles which debuted on the Hot 100 charts within the past 1 year and 7 months. Shania Twain was the last person to do this but in a longer period of time. Although her record included a rerelease, it is all recorded as coming from one album. The singles are below:
“Good Girl Gone Bad,” in chronological order:
“Umbrella,” No. 1 for seven weeks (2007) [Rihanna featuring Jay-Z]
“Shut Up and Drive,” No. 15 (2007)
“Hate That I Love You,” No. 7 (2007) [Rihanna featuring Ne-Yo]
“Don’t Stop the Music,” No. 3 (2008)
“Take a Bow,” No. 1 for one week (2008)
“If I Never See Your Face Again,” No. 51 (2008) [Maroon 5 featuring Rihanna]
“Disturbia,” No. 1 for two weeks (2008)
“Rehab,” No. 91 to date (2008)
Unlike Shania however, she hasn't come close to selling the amount of albums she should have. Shania did 10 million in the US alone. Rihanna has done 1.8 in the US totals 5 million world wide.
