Sources are saying there is a battle brewing between Jennifer Lopez and the Rosie Perez over who will own the film rights of Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latina appointed to the US Supreme Court.
It has been reported that Lopez hosted a dinner party for Justice Sotomayor right after her confirmation in an apparent attempt to butter her up and discuss a film about her life. Rosie resents Jennifer going after the project because she says she would have wanted to make the movie whether Sotomayor was confirmed or not,” the source adds.
This is not the first time Rosie has spoken out about Lopez in some form. In an interview with Out Magazine Rosie reportedly implied she was responsible for Lopez's success despite her limited talent. 'Jennifer Lopez was just Jenny from the block -- fat and clumsy Jenny from the block, when she got her start,' says squeaky-voiced Rosie Perez. Rosie said it was she, not Keenan Ivory Wayans, who hired Lopez as a dancer on the hit '90s comedy show "In Living Color ."
