GAGA BILLBOARD REVIEW

It'd be easy to dismiss a 22-year-old debut artist sporting a blonde Cher wig, hooded Catwoman suit and glowing staff she calls the "disco stick"—but not if she delivers an album full of hits. Lady Gaga's first single, the heavily synched "Just Dance," is now impacting the Pop 100, after a summer of burning up the dance charts. But full-length "The Fame" proves she's more than one hit and a bag of stage tricks. The album borrows sonically from hip-hop, dance-pop and modern R&B but has the glam-rock soul of Gaga's beloved Queen and David Bowie. "Poker Face" and "Love Game" carry the pleather-and-sequins vibe of the downtown New York scene out of the underground and onto the FM dial without losing its smut and sass. Comparisons to acts like Scissor Sisters and Princess Superstar are inevitable, but Gaga's got a shrewder pop ear.

The LP is out this week. Available at all music stores and itunes. PS official Album Review to come.

ALBUMS IN PROGRESs

The Overhyped seemingly overgrown 10 yr old Chris Brown is working on a third album just after releasing and rereleasing his current album all in one year:
Graffiti is the third studio album by American singer Chris Brown, which is still currently in the recording process. Chris started recording in June 2008, the album is slated to be released during the first quarter of 2009. Brown has a line up of guest to work with for the album, including: Bow Wow, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Ciara, Rihanna, Pharrell, Bryan Michael Cox, Danja, Polow da Don and others. Chris also stated he would like to do a track with his nephew "Scooter". This album would consist of more ballads and slow songs rather than his usual high energy dance tracks. Chris Brown has stated that this album will be more "Secular", saying he is becoming an adult and would like to go to that next level. However, he has stated that he intends to try and keep his younger audience also.

The wackness that is Cassie (aka carrier of Diddy's Lollipop) is also slated for an album release this year:
Cassie's second studio album is scheduled for release in September 2008. The album features production by Seven, Mario Winans, Bryan-Michael Cox, Eric Hudson, Sean C and LV, Ryan Leslie,[2] and Danja. Cassie has said that she had "[grown] up a lot" since her first album, and that "you can hear [her] vocals better this time around. There's real emotion and a much realer connection with fans." She also said the album's first single would be "a club record" and "fun and danceable".[2] The album includes credits from Ryan Leslie, Swizz Beatz, Bryan Michael Cox, Rodney Jerkins, Kanye West,[3] and Danja. Cassie announced that Ciara will be on the album.

The oversized overproducing sell out dweeb Timberland thinks he's an artist as well:
Timbaland still can't find the right category to classify his smash album Shock Value. He better figure something out quick — the producer is planning to go into the lab and make another one. "Right now, I have a song with Madonna that I didn't put on her album. I saved [it] in case I wanna do one for me," he revealed. "Of course I'mma do one with BeyoncĂ©. Of course I'mma do one with Jordin Sparks, Rihanna. It's a lot of people. I'mma do one with Jonas Brothers. I'mma try to have 10 major ones."

The overrated rapper yet excellent producer Missy is coming with some wacky ish as usual:
Missy Elliott told Entertainment Weekly she hasn't decided on an album title but she and Timbaland are "always gonna take it as far left as possible without losing people or having them thinking we’re on drugs." She also revealed producers Danja, Polow Da Polon, T-Pain and DJ Toomp will be on the album. As far as cameos, she said Keyshia Cole and Ciara will make appearances.
