NEGRO PLEASE: Hillary Duff

[ON GETTING CAUGHT LIPSINGING]

"So many people have been caught lip-synching. Sometimes that's just how people do it. Whatever. That's not the way I like to do things. It's not like I dance for my entire show, so there's no reason I'd have an excuse to not sing. People should know I don't lip-synch. It's embarrassing. No one understands the technical side of it.

My mic wasn't turned off, but before the show I'm warming up my voice, saying a prayer with my dancers (and) we don't let anyone hear that. But I'd gone on to say 'Hello Mexico' and I could hear it in my ears, but no one else could hear it, and they realised the mute button had been pushed.""It sucks because I've worked so hard. I put months into preparing for this tour, then people do stuff like that. It hurts your feelings, but the more you defend yourself the more you feel it makes you look guilty, even though you're not. It's lose-lose. People are waiting for any excuse to say you've screwed up or something's gone wrong, so they make accusations like that."

TRANSLATION: I can't admit to it so I'll use this as an excuse.
